Killing puppies is bad - mmmKay

Their is a German quack-a-doodle, who has never heard of Michael Vick.  This German quack-a-doodle ( I could not find his name) has not figured out that killing puppies does not go over well with the public.  Even if you do it in the name of art.  The German quack-a-doodle is planning to strangle two puppies in an artistic demonstration that shows life as a working dog in Alaska and Spain. An excerpt -
A German artist who planned to strangle two puppies to death on stage in a Berlin theatre
has been told that highlighting the plight of sled dogs in Alaska is not a good enough reason to kill the dogs.   full article from The Local
Really? So its not enough to kill just one  you have to kill two. I can only assume it is because you believe you have to make it clear that this atrocity occurs in two places.

First if this atrocity does occur, then those responsible should be dealt with accordingly.  Second what make this German quack-a-doodle any better? The grounds of artistic freedom? In that case society should exercise "artistic freedom" and stone him to show "in an artistic interpretation of the pain of getting hit by people that do not like puppies get killed".
