Catholic Priests endorses Sexual Abuse



The Association of Catholic Priests has told the Irish Central that they will back Irish priests who chose not to disclose sexual abuse they learn of during confession.  Ireland's Justice Minister Alan Shatter has proposed legislation that will make it illegal for priest to withhold information about sexual abuse.
Ireland’s Justice Minister Alan Shatter is to introduce new legislation which will force the clergy to reveal all details disclosed in confession.
But priests have vowed to defy the law despite the threat of a 10-year jail sentence after the introduction of the mandatory reporting legislation.
The 800 strong Association of Catholic Priests has even told the Irish Independent newspaper that its members will flout the Shatter law.

Does the Catholic Church not understand that playing with little boys and sexually abusing people are sins in the eyes of the LORD?  How is the Pope a great leader? If his management team essentially is approving sexual abuse?  Has the Catholic Church lost sight of the teachings of the LORD and started following the teachings of Jerry Sandusky?
